Tips For Car Tire Safety And Maintenance

Tires plays major role in the car safety. Tires are the only physical part that touches the ground. The proper tire maintenance will improve the fuel efficiency and also improves the car safety.

The tips for tire maintenance and safety are:
  • Air pressure: Air pressure is important for car safety and maintenance. The air pressure in the tires should be checked regularly and also the spare one. It is important to maintain appropriate air pressure in the winter and summer season, as the air has ability to expand at the hot temperature and contract in the cool temperature. The proper inflated tires will provide greater mileage, better handling, and prevent accidents.
  • Tire Rotations: Rotate the tire every 5000 to 8000 miles. The rotation of tires will avoid the replacement and providing better performance and longer tire life. If the engine is in front of the car, the front tires will wear more than the behind ones.
  • Evaluations: Check the air pressure and tread wear regularly. Inspect your tires with removing stones, nails, or glass that may be blocked in the tire grooves. Inspect the tore side walls.

When you are driving, if tire suddenly fails don’t apply brakes immediately. It is safe to decrease the car speed then apply the brakes and stop the car.
