Palm Operating System provides fast access

Palm operating system is developed by Palm Inc, initially to support PDAs (Personal Digital Assistants) and later to support smartphones. It occupies less than 3.3% share in smartphone market. Palm OS arrives with in-built applications like Dates, Address Book, To Do List, Calculator, and Password Protection. The features of updated palm OS is Java support, VPN support and secure web browsing. Palm mobile operating system has the facility to operate combined resources like Microsoft Exchange, Oracle and SAP with secure status.

Web-connected applications: Applications are completely connected to web, they are active forever, confirming that user has update information.

Run multiple applications at the same time:
Palm's advanced Operating System can regulate several activities. It facilitates user to open many applications at a time and also to move between these applications easily.

This operating system provides narrow search that is getting the results appropriately and provides results from web and device.

Direct Notifications: When a message or email is received the device alerts the user regularly.

Strengths:

Weaknesses:
  • It has no facility of multitasking
  • It is costly compared to iphone
