Know About the Role of Breathing in Yoga

Practice of yoga has gained a lot of importance. The life of individuals these days is filled with stress and complications. Many people have been in compliance with mental and physical stress. Each exercise of yoga is often paired with breathing. Pranayama, which is the Sanskrit term of breathing, has a vital role in yoga. Adequate supply of oxygen to the blood is improved by breathing. This helps in revitalizing the mind and body. As the amount of oxygen supplied to the vital organs increases, many harmful toxins can be brought out of the body. Purification of bloodstream increase in producing more energy. One of the most biggest benefits that can be obtained through increase in supply of oxygen is mind purification.

Breath control is more important and essential than the execution of proper techniques in yoga. Release of tension, calmness of mind, and focus on proper execution of poses is gained by yoga. According to yoga experts breathing through nose is the effective method of healthy breathing. This might seem as an obvious thing, but it has been observed that many people breathe through mouth. Promotion of pathogens into lungs is possible by breathing through mouth. Nose has many defense mechanisms to trap any pathogens that enter. Hence the practice of breathing through nose is mainly practiced through yoga breathing exercises. Relaxed awareness of inhalation and exhalation is recommended during the practice.
