Segregation Rises in US Schools

US is going to have the first Black President. People have elected him in spite of all the racism of the nation. But what we see here is that racism is still going on in US schools and has even rised.

In a study from University of California in Civil Rights Project, it was found that the Black and the Hispanics are increasingly segregated from the White students of the school. This segregation even increased since the Supreme Court has declared voluntary desegregation in 2007.

This decision, taken by Supreme Court on Voluntary desegregation, helped local authorities to promote school desegregation. This rather intensifies the trend.

I thought that people are now not much concerned about racism, since they have elected Obama as President. It is pity to be ill treated in an educational place, just because you are not white in color. Let’s wish this leaves our country very soon.
