Difference between Modern Piracy and Traditional Piracy

Piracy is not such a bad word as pirates. It just means looking out for some luck on sea. But pirates are the people who destroy luck of others. Piracy has been a severe threat for businessmen in almost all the business oriented regions. This piracy has first appeared into our history in around 13th century BC. From then on it has been inspiring for many people who liked to earn easy money.

Ancient pirates were very cruel. They used to destroy ships after looting them and killed all the people with it. Julius Caesar must be lucky that pirates just kidnapped him for ransom. Of course he killed those pirates as soon as he was released. When I am talking of ancient pirates, I remember two words. One is Vikings, and the other is pirates of the Caribbean.

Piracy still exists today, though faded significantly. These days’ pirates have high technology weapons and thus cause more damage. Indonesia is said to be the world’s most dangerous piracy region.

There are pirates more dangerous than sea pirates. They are called as Movie pirates. Movie piracy is increasing year by year, causing severe losses to the movie industries world wide.
